The speculation is over, Donavan McNabb has been traded to the Washington RedSkins.
Personally I think this is a great deal for Washington. They have a new Coach, Mike Shanahan, a proven winner. Throwing McNabb into the mix gives him what he needs,a proven leader that brings a wealth of experience to to revitalize the offense.
The Skins play Phillie twice a year so the Skins know up close and personal what Donavan brings to the table. This should take some of the pressure off the defense which has played well but was not backed up by a strong offense.
The Eagles were very deep at quarterback, they will be fine while they search for a younger man for the future. Washington needs a strong QB that can give them a couple of years to find and develop a new quarterback.
I think this is a good trade for both teams.
