Pollsters Do Off the Field What Oregon Couldn`t

The new college football polls are out and the voters did for the Oregon Ducks off the field what they could not do on the field and that is beat Boise State. The mighty Ducks leapfrogged the Broncos in the polls moving from 4th to 3rd and did it without ever laying a glove on the Broncos.

Sos and last years schedule should not count, well yes and no. Boise did what no other team did in 2008 and 2009 and that was beat the Oregon Ducks at home. Opening the 2009 season featured the Ducks on The Blue in Bronco Stadium and the Bronco Defense crushed the Oregon Offense. The Ducks did not have a first down till midway through the 3rd quarter. Heisman Trophy hopeful LaGarrett Blount was held to no yards and tackled for a safety.

Yet the pollsters have decided that the Ducks are a better team. I think it is the BCS fighting back, angry over the threat the Broncos pose to their self declared sovereignty. They cannot stand the fact that Boise has a tougher schedule than Nebraska, they detest the fact that Boise has beaten almost every BCS team in their path since embarrassing Oklahoma in the Jan. 07 Fiesta Bowl.

Last year to avoid the humiliation that Utah gave Bama in 2008 they had Boise and TCU face off in the Fiesta Bowl and avoid having two more BCS teams lose to two mid-majors.

Now they are doing it again in the polls. Boise will handily dispatch Toledo this weekend and should drop one if not two more spots in the polls.

If the Ducks are so much better than the Broncos lets settle it on the field. QuizzRodgers could only get 46 yards on Boise State, Oregon's big dog running back would not do much better.
