Game day is 11 days away and both sides are talking smack. The Utes defensive end has already guaranteed victory over the Boise State Broncos.
Boise fans have really taken offense at the guaranteed victory and remind the Ute fans of ancient history, the 2006 game.
Personally I think players who publicly guarantee victory are providing locker room material for their opponents and wonder if that is the smart thing to do.
I recall each time we have played the Utes they were convinced we were little brother and that they were going to show us a lesson.
The game should be a tough hard fought game. Boise is missing its key linebacker Byron Hout who is very effective at plugging the middle and shutting down the run.
Utah is missing their starting QB but from what I hear the back up is a very talented kid, that helps Utah, Boise knows very little about the back up.
Any how smack talk amongst the fans is part of the fun of college football, providing it doesnt cross the line and becomes personal insults.
Utah Utes this is just a friendly reminder of the 2006 the game you would like to forget, just as much as I want to forget what happened to us in Reno this year.
