Obama orders GM and Chrysler out of Nascar

Today President Obama told both Chrysler and GM they must be out of Nascar by the end of the 2009 racing season.

He said that the tax payers cannot and will not fund racing cars. He went on to say that he knows this will have an negative effect on Nascar but he cannot allow companies receiving Federal bail out dollars the luxury of sponsoring racing cars.

The immediate impact of losing these corporate dollars is estimated to be $100 million dollars. Some teams have already said this will be their last season.

Disappointed by the Presidents decision they will be seeking new sponsors, but they do understand his reasons and accept them.

Nascar itself was unavailable for comment but Beltway insiders said. April Fools:}
